Service Day Schedule

The time is approaching!  On Saturday, April 21, we will be coming together for a day of service in Norman.  If you are already signed up, you might be wondering "What happens next?"

Well, if you don't already have one, you will probably want to get a t-shirt.  They are $10 and can be worn each year that you participate in TNWL.  Contact Angela.

Your work group might need to round up some tools for your project, so check with your group leader on that.  If you have questions, contact Zach.

Show up to Journey Loveworks Church (1330 E. Lindsey St.) at 8:30 am on Saturday, April 21 for a rally before we head out to our projects!

Tool Drive

Habitat for Humanity is in need of tools of all kinds: hammers, saws, screwdrivers, tape measures, etc.  When you come to the To Norman With Love rally on Saturday morning, please bring any tools you would like to donate.  We will have a designated donation bin at the rally and will get the tools taken to Cleveland County Habitat for Humanity.  Donation bins will also be placed at various locations in Norman to collect tools over the next couple of weeks.  Spread the word!

How will you help this year?

There is a lot of discussion around town about "To Norman With Love."  Church small groups and Sunday school classes are talking about how they want to be involved and what projects they want to do this year.  Have you talked with your friends and family about how you want to take part?  Have you come up with a plan for making Norman a better place to live, a place where people feel loved and cared for?

If you want to take part in "To Norman With Love" and you're trying to think of a project you can do, there are some ideas listed on the Projects page.  There are a couple of specific projects that have been requested and more will be posted soon.

We hope you'll join us on Saturday, April 21 to love Norman with your service!

The day of service for the faith community of Norman is drawing near.

I hope everyone is feeling the excitement as we get ready to provide tangible examples of Christ's love to the city around us.

If you are new to the website or simply need more information, here's what you need to know.

- Agencies from around Norman have submitted work that they need help with (Projects tab).

- We believe it is the challenge of the Norman churches to partner with these agencies to encourage, to be a blessing, and to build relationships within the community.  Churches are not Christian social clubs, but tangible agents of hope that need to be poured out over the city.

- Contact Joey or Zach with participation questions, or simply fill out the Church Participation form.

- Attend the Rally May 21, 2011 @ 8:30am  Family Life Center, First Baptist Church Norman
Come ready to work on your predetermined project!
